Another emergency and referral experience leads to missing records, cops, and lawyers: Part II

Complaint: Complaint 18-123
Respondent: Danielle Strohacker
Premises: BluePearl Phoenix
Related: 18-122

This complaint follows from 18-122 when the complainant had difficulty getting her records from BluePearl after her dog died. She states that she even had to involve Mitsui in just getting the records from BluePearl and that they appeared to be quite sparse. Strohacker is the responsible veterinarian for the premises.

Strohacker's response states that the investigators can find a complete copy of the entire medical and communications record for the complainant's dog, along with statements from the attending veterinarians. She also goes to great lengths to note that she had nothing to do with the complainant or the dog during the time they were at her hospital.

The Investigative Committee said that there was no information about when the records were requested or sent to the complainant. They also state that Strohacker was not responsible for distributing the records despite the fact she's the responsible veterinarian for the premises. I can't tell if the complainant ever got the records, nor does there appear to be any concern about potential violations for failing to provide records in a timely manner.
