The complainant says she took her dogs to a shot clinic operated by Rowand. She says
that it was the most unorganized shot clinic she'd ever been to and that Roward was
confused by all the vials and papers strewn about. She says she went in for other
vaccines but came out with just a lepto vaccine that they'd already received. The dogs
got sick within a few hours, and she was told to give them each some Benadryl. The complainant
says she took her dogs to another vet as their health worsened and this veterinarian
allegedly said they had been overdosed. The complainant notes another forum posting that
complained about the vaccination clinics, and she went so far as to contact University
College Dublin to confirm Rowand's academic credentials.
Rowand's response is rather short and states what she says was administered, that the
complainant reported a reaction was mentioned and that she prescribed antihistamines. She
decided to cease interacting with the complainant once the complainant went on social
media. She also says she is going to organize her vaccination clinics better going forward
and that the dogs would have been due for a lepto booster within the next few weeks anyway.
The Investigative Committee found no medical concerns with the case but found some record
keeping violations.
