A veterinarian with a possible vendetta goes after a veterinary technician

Complaint: Complaint 18-99
Respondent: Glenda Davis
Premises: Navajo Nation

The complainant, Scott Bender, is a veterinarian. He complains that Davis is a CVT but has purported herself to be a veterinarian as in some enclosed news articles. He says that "at best" she is a CVT who was grandfathered in and has no real education, implying that in his view she's barely a CVT all. He also says that she lives on the Navajo Nation but asks for donations from people outside of the Navajo Nation, thereby placing the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board at risk. He asks that the board revoke her CVT so that she can only hurt Navajo people and not the people of Arizona or "the honored profession of Veterinary Medicine."

Davis writes back that the complaint isn't a medical complaint in any way. She also lists the contact information for several people who would have knowledge related to the complaint, including reporters. She also states that in her career she has never represented herself as a veterinarian. She cites one of the reporters as admitting that her comments were incorrectly interpreted and includes an email from one of the reporters mentioning that a retraction will be published. Davis believes that the proximate cause of the complaint was some sort of conference call about a study for O. Lupi conducted with the CDC whereby they would test as part of mass spay-and-neuter programs performed by the Christian Veterinary Mission; another participant in the call mistakenly called her a doctor. She also states that she now works for the Navajo Nation Animal Control Program, but prior to that she worked for the Navajo Nation Veterinary and Livestock Program until harassment from Bender made the situation untenable. She also notes that Bender was terminated from the Navajo Nation for what she only refers to as "improprieties."

There's no Investigative Committee discussion for this; instead there's the findings of fact from the Investigative Division. The board voted to dismiss.
