A complainant goes to a veterinary clinic on the other side of the tracks and doesn't like it

Complaint: Complaint 19-38
Respondent: Paige Peterson
Premises: Alta Vista Veterinary Hospital

The complainant doesn't write much in the complaint. He says he's contacted them several times with no return calls or messages, but that they have confirmed they received his faxes. He says the clinic ran up a large bill that would not help and that a veterinarian at the clinic told him he shouldn't pay most of it. He also says that the prescriptions given to his dogs were ill-advised.

Peterson mentions the apparent problems with the dogs, one having an ear infection, another with an ear hematoma, and the last just requiring vaccines. Half of the response details the complainant's behavior in the office; it's said that he was critical of Peterson's education, indicated that he takes better photos than the photos on the walls, and that he has a lot of money and only comes to the clinic to help support poor people. She says that he specifically said he no longer wanted her to care for any of his pets in a follow-up call, so other care was handled by other veterinarians there.

The Investigative Committee said that it was a situation with a very difficult client and that Peterson acted appropriately.
