Someone accuses a rural mobile veterinarian of having a drinking problem

Complaint: Complaint 20-33
Respondent: Garrel Geiger
Premises: Unknown

Someone (we don't know who, and there's not even a redacted complaint to review) said that they saw Geiger pouring vodka into a cup at the start of the day and at the end of the day. There were apparently concerns that Geiger may have been driving his mobile unit while drinking as well as performing surgeries while under the influence. The complainant allegedly said he or she would collect more info and witnesses, but the veterinary board allegedly never heard back. This is all from the Findings of Fact, so who knows.

Geiger tells us that he has a single client that brings him a bottle of wine and that perhaps someone saw him have a drink after work. He emphatically states that he is not an alcoholic, has no history of alcoholism, and has never consumed any alcohol while practicing medicine. He notes that he has been running the mobile veterinary service for several years to help clients who can't afford corporate prices and has never had a medical complaint.

There's no Investigative Committee report as this went directly to the Board. They found no violations.
