A premises fails an inspection and a veterinarian gets a key to finish records after hours

Complaint: Complaint 20-80
Respondent: Stephanie Olson
Premises: Best Friends Animal Hospital

This is another complaint that comes from the Board itself. It appears that Best Friends Animal Hospital failed an inspection because "over 118 medical records" were incomplete. There were apparently also concerns about client communication and other matters.

Olson's response says that since they got in trouble with the Board she's been working very hard to get all the records up to date. She says that communication with clients has been unaffected as she has standard responses on most common conditions and uses those. She also says much of the information was already in the system as her patients were largely repeat customers. She also says that she never had a key to the premises after hours to finish entering records but that she now does. She also has a plan to log information in a logbook and enter it later if records cannot be entered into the system in a timely manner. It also appears that the premises has made changes to allow Olson to focus on veterinary duties such as filling out records rather than doing veterinary technician jobs as well.

As this was a premises thing there's no Investigative Committee report here. The Board voted to dismiss with no violation.
