Complaint: | Complaint 21-120 |

Respondent: | Kellie Shamrell |
Premises: | Panza Del Sol |
The complainant says that she called for a copy of the records. She was allegedly told two days later that they were copied and on a desk awaiting signatures. She made several more calls and was told they were still waiting; ten days after being told they were on a desk waiting for a signature she was allegedly told that the records were too old and destroyed. She points out her cat was seen within the last three years so the records should not have been destroyed.
Shamrell says that she received a letter in the mail from the complainant stating that DDSVet (that's what Danza Del Sol Veterinary Medical Center apparently is using as an abbreviation) destroyed the complainant's records. She says they reached out and the complainant couldn't give a name or gender for the person she spoke with; she also says they told the complainant that they don't destroy records but they are filed and difficult to recover after that time. She says that the records were prepared and made ready within seven days but the complainant didn't want to come get them; they allegedly mailed the records to her instead.
The Investigative Committee said that the records weren't destroyed and that the records were given to the pet owner. The report also says that neither the complainant nor Shamrell bothered to show up to talk to the Committee, so unless there's other communication here, at most we know that Shamrell wrote the Committee a letter saying she sent the records.
