A complainant has difficulty obtaining records over a long holiday

Complaint: Complaint 22-60
Respondent: Mary Burdick
Premises: Harmony Veterinary Hospital

The complainant says that she's called the vet hospital several times as has her new vet (apparently in Florida). She's been told the records are on their way but hasn't seen them; she laments this has been going on for two weeks now.

Burdick's response states that it includes the pets' medical records. She says that at her hospital they try to be efficient; she says that she's never had any complaints about medical records being sent out, but that sometimes they document sending out the records but other times they do not. She does note that there's a log entry for the records request but that the clinic was closed from December 23 to January 3; they did have a plan for an employee to come in on the 24th but the employee came down with COVID and hasn't been back since. She's initiated a "tune up" for her employees.

This was an Investigative Division report so there's no discussion by an Investigative Committee.
