Strange descriptions of events unfold around a complaint regarding euthanasia

Complaint: Complaint 22-79
Respondent: Tatum Wales
Premises: Pima Pet Clinic

The complainant says that she doesn't want Wales harmed by the complaint. She only wants her to have to come to a veterinary board meeting and think about what she did. She also asks that a Dr. Pedor Cuneo be present at the meeting as he has pertinent information; she concludes by stating that "responsibility is not gauded by what resources we have but how we use what resources we have." Other submitted information suggests that she rescued this cat despite not having the financial resources to take care of him. She also includes a note she sent to Wales stating that her cat had died today and that it would have been better had he listened to her instincts; she says he really suffered at the end.

The response from Wales begins with an apology for her response lacking a signature; the clinic doesn't have a working printer today. She relates that the cat was brought in for euthanasia but had a healthy appearance with no signs of diarrhea, pain, or suffering despite claims of a prolapsed rectum. Rather than offering euthanasia she offered some various options that would fit within the complainant's budget, stating that the home remedies she's been giving the cat at home could be making it worse. She says that she also suggested the complainant contact Pima County Animal Control for financial assistance. We're told the complainant was appreciative but also got aggressive and angry, sometimes even removing her mask and trying to back her into a corner.

This is an Investigative Division report so there's no committee. One of the Findings of Fact states that Cuneo (a veterinarian at the University of Arizona) was contacted and had "no involvement or information in this matter."
