A cat has an eye scratch and a dental gets the hard sell but it's actually cancer: Part II

Complaint: Complaint 18-116
Respondent: Kesey Ozuk
Premises: AZPetVet Surprise Animal Hospital
Related: 18-115, 18-117

This complaint is from the same situation and the same dead cat as 18-115. More detail is available there and this complaint relates specifically to Ozuk's contributions.

Ozuk's response covers much of the complainant's events from her perspective. She says that the complainant initially suspected the scratch under the eye to have been the result of the cat scratching himself. She also says the complainant had difficulties giving some of the medications at home because the cat was feisty. She also suggests that the complainant should have agreed to the dental because once they did the dental and realized it wasn't a tooth problem then they would have discovered that it was cancer.

The Investigative Committee had concerns about follow-up care and that pictures of the wound did not look like a tooth abscess. The Committee also said they weren't sure if it was actually a violation. A vote was taken to find a violation but failed 2 ayes, 3 nays. After that vote failed, they unanimously voted to dismiss with no violation.
