This complaint follows from 18-26 but pertains to Kassing's involvement as the veterinarian.
Kassing gives us a response that broadly follows the complainant's events with some noticeable differences. She tells us that the dog was transferred to her care from Tavasci when she showed up to work. She says they told the complainant that the dog might not be seen until late in the evening, so they were offering complimentary overnight monitoring. She also mentions that the dog was offered a referral to an ophthalmologist but declined it. She details the treatments given to the dog and then tells us that she called the complainant with an update. She subsequently called the daughter who elected to bring the dog home that night. She states the dog was fitted with the largest collar the facility had in stock. She states that the complainants did call about the dog being able to remove one of his sutures and that they were advised to bring the dog back in or go elsewhere. Their office manager called the complainant, but it is said that they had an unfruitful conversation and the complainant hung up. Tavasci is said to have tried to call the veterinarian who took over the dog's care but allegedly that veterinarian never returned the call.
The Investigative Committee discussion is one sentence: "The Committee discussed that based on the information provided and testimony given they felt Dr. Kassing handled the matter appropriately."
