A dog's last moments alive also involved a very close shave and a rather loud howl: Part I

Complaint: Complaint 19-63
Respondent: Jordan Gesimondo
Premises: AZPetVet Beardsley Animal Hospital
Related: 19-64

The complainant brought his dog to Beardsley Animal Hospital for euthanasia. He says he was asked to leave while Gesimondo shaved his dog and inserted a catheter. He states that he then heard his dog howl in pain from two rooms away and even the receptionist came running. Padgett handed the dog back to him and the dog was "spent" even though he was not yet sedated and had been walking normally before he went in. Padgett said he would perform the euthanasia when the complainant was ready, and the complainant said to do it now after the dog had already been traumatized. The complainant says he wants a refund and an apology.

Gesimondo replies that he wasn't there that day.

The Investigative Committee stated that Gesimondo wasn't there that day.
