Complaint: | Complaint 20-24 |
---|---|
Respondent: | Daniel Moezzi |
Premises: | Phoenix Veterinary Referral and Emergency |
Related: | 20-23 |
This complaint follows from 20-23 but refers to Moezzi's involvement after he assumed care of the dog.
Moezzi's response gives some details on the drugs administered and the when and why of the various actions undertaken to presumptively treat IMHA. He says that the ultrasound scheduling wasn't something he could really speak to; the complainant had spoken with the other veterinarian, Bauman, regarding ultrasound availability. He also says that they couldn't do an ultrasound until Roth could show up to do one. He says he held off on giving anti-clotting medications because he wasn't sure if the dog had a GI bleed and wanted to do an ultrasound to rule it out. He thinks the dog died of a blood clot, but he goes on to state that the lack of ultrasound played no role in the dog's death. He also says that the concerns about not being able to visit the dog were the result of others' interactions with the complainant and not him, so it's not his fault they never got to visit the dog or say goodbye.
The Investigative Committee's response is pasted from 20-23. You can read that there.
Moezzi shows up again in 20-121 when he's working at another referral and specialty shop.
