Premises: | Amigo Animal Hospital |

This complaint follows from 21-106 but pertains to Miller's involvement. The complaint actually has an extra sheet of complaints that aren't included in 21-106; this extra information details some concerns about quality of care. We're told that neither of the veterinarians bothered to follow up about the dog. We're also told that the veterinarinans at Kaibab (Veterinary Care?) used a splint and said that a splint should have been put on the leg in the first place. (The Findings of Fact state that the other veterinarians who saw the dog chalked up most of the problems to the dog ripping out sutures, and one other veterinarian said a splint wasn't necessary. Who knows?)
Miller's account is rather sparse. She states that she wasn't involved in providing any care for the dog. She did open the door for the complainant and escort her to the exam room. She also offered to hold the dog for the complainant while she went to get her car but was declined. She also states that she sent the medical records to Kaibab (Veterinary Care) again after learning they hadn't been received.
The Investigative Committee states that after reviewing the information, they found that no violation had been committed.
One interesting note: Both Amigo Animal Hospital (the target of the complaint) and Dove Valley Animal Hospital are in the general vicinity of the northern Phoenix metro area. Kaibab Veterinary Care, on the other hand, is all the way in Flagstaff, which would normally be odd since the dog escaped from home not far from Amigo Animal Hospital; that's a long way to drive for a vet. An initial suspicion was that they actually meant Kaibab Animal Hospital (home of owner/operator and vet board member Darren Wright), but the attending veterinarian listed in the Findings of Fact appears to be at the Flagstaff clinic. Weird. (The complainant literally specifies Kaibab Animal Hospital rather than Kaibab Veterinary Care, but on the other hand, that might be an easy mistake to make.)
