The complainant makes accusations of a large cover-up at VetMed and another clinic. After the surgery the dog developed complications that required a second surgery. She believes the complications were caused by problems that occurred during the surgery. The complainant repeats concerns regarding a cropped or modified photograph, incorrect surgical procedures. She also mentions her concerns about incorrect medical records (apparently stating blood work was normal when it wasn't) and forged signatures on the discharge instructions.
Blom states that the images that were sent were not tampered with by her but does note that they appear to have been "compressed in size and scope." She also states that the dog's weight was recorded twice, once at 27.0 kg and another at 26.6 kg, and goes on to use that weight in calculating the dosage of antibiotics given to the dog. She also notes that there were some abnormalities (specifically sodium and potassium). She discusses that the signature the complainant references occurred on a touchscreen pad rather than on paper and compares to other of the complainant's signatures. She also pastes their notes about conversations with the complainant, including one that claims the complainant was angry the spleen was not removed and that "we'll see what happens" when the test comes back for hemangiosarcoma.
